Čoahkkáigeassu:The following research work seeks to evaluate the knowledge of the students of the dentistry faculty of clinics III and IV for the correct selection of color in previous restorations class III and IV; from this point of view, we have outlined both general objectives as specific objectives and in this way to be able to fulfill the proposed problem. 65 students of comprehensive clinic III and IV studied this research work; the data collected were made through a survey conducted directly to students in clinic III and IV. The main result of the research is that the clinical students III and IV of the dentistry faculty of the University of the Americas, it was determined that 13.4%, a significant percentage does not use colorimeter. The results conclude that women have a better perception of color than men, the students who care for patients in clinic IV have greater knowledge regarding the taking of color, their answers had better professional criterion.
