| Sumari: | The present title work in its first part deals with and contextualizes in a general way the evolution of technology and within it the electronic devices and digital tools, whose accelerated introduction in the different facets of people and society, responds to diversification of needs that in the student, work, social and business environment are presented and before which the large companies of TIC are driven to respond quickly with innovative proposals or with updates on technology platforms, services and products they use the users. In addition to highlighting the important contribution of TIC in the life and development of people and nations, it also highlights the problems faced by society in the face of excessive consumption of technology, especially among vulnerable groups such as children and young people. in the absence of control and guidance on the use of it, they are easily prey to digital addiction, and are exposed to risks and dangers latent inside and outside their social environment, even becoming victims of sexual harassment, bullying, bullying, cyberbullying, scams and kidnappings. On the other hand, Chapter II presents figures and statistical information on the evolution and behavior of technology, the Internet and particularly of social networks in Ecuadorian society, and in that universe are people, government entities, companies and industries. In addition, to understand the behavior on the use of TIC, we describe the use of digital tools by young people based on the generational differentiation existing in that group, the young people of previous decades, the Millennials and the Touch, within of which and as a case study is already noticed the orientation and preference in the dedication of free time and productive time that should be used to academic and cultural development to the use of mobile devices and social networks. Likewise, national and international cases are presented that at the country level and in other regions have been implemented to address the problem of excessive use of technology in young people and in society itself. This proposal is supported in a research exercise on the behavior of the target group of students from schools in the north of the city of Quito. The interviews and surveys focused on young people between the ages of 12 and 18, parents, teachers, authorities, school psychologists and an official of the Ministry of Education. As part of Chapter IV, a social advertising campaign is presented on the awareness of the proper use of social networks in schools located north of the city of Quito. The purpose of this study, as already indicated, is born before the existing problem about the inappropriate and excessive use of social networks in young people. 90 por ciento of them use these technological tools inside and outside the schools. Finally, as a result of the analysis it is noticed that the lack of control and guidance to young people by parents, teachers and authorities contributes to the irresponsible and inappropriate use of these tools, this in turn exposes them to dangers, being the most frequent: Bullying, Cyberbullying, Harassment (sexual, verbal, psychological), scams and kidnappings. In addition, the absence of awareness campaigns by state entities that highlight and promote the responsible use of social networks in children and young people in our country. |
