Hospital pediátrico Voz de Los Andes

The planning and constant growth of Quito’s urban sprawl has forced us to take measures to stop it, leaving uncontrolled expansion aside, thus generating a future plan by the year 2040 taking into account the needs of the current and projected population, thus giving new spaces, restructuring of neighborhoods, as well as new equipment, the same ones that you can supply the future demand. The study in the axis of the Av. 10 of August is given by the important rupture of the city generated in the same one, opting like this for supplying of a circuit of necessary equipments for the population. The Voz de los Andes pediatric hospital was born due to the need for a care center at these ages, taking data from the 2010 population census, from 100 percent of the population in Pichincha, 9.2 percent are from 0 to 4 years, 9.5 percent from 5 to 9 years old, 9.4 percent from 10 to 14 years old and 9.3 percent from 15 to 19 years old, taking only that the population that needs this service is 37.4 percent in Pichincha and at National level 31, 25 percent of the total population are children from 0 to 14 years old. With these figures it is appropriate to know that the only equipment in the capital that covers this demand is the Hospital Baca Ortiz, being the same not only zonal but of metropolitan scale, that is why we proceed to give a new health equipment of these characteristics opting to divert the HBO population, and have more child care spaces for the future growing population.
