Summary:Aulas de Apoyo Escolar, Spanish for School Support Classrooms, is a project by Secretaría de Educación del Distrito Metropolitano de Quito (Secretariat of Education of the Municipality of Quito). It is a great tool for the development of the future of the Capital is society, because it helps many parents to worry less about their children by knowing they have the opportunity to spend their afternoons in a place that offers, besides academic and learning assistance, a fun and productive time, that helps in the development of each student. After the research done, it became evident that the project does not have the success expected by its creators, the situation arising because the project is not well known enough in Quito, as indicated by the surveys. By not having a communications strategy, the project of Aulas de Apoyo Escolar faces a lack of support, as well as misinformation from the local community. This thesis aims to reverse these adversities through a Communications plan that answers to: a theoretical framework based in many academic studies and publications, to the results of the quantitative research conducted through surveys made in different areas throughout Quito, and to a qualitative research, made up of interviews with local experts, authorities, and users of the project. Finally, it must be mentioned that this research responds to a methodology that made it possible to obtain the necessary information, through many instruments such as observation, documentation, and dialogue. Applied to interact with the variables, to make an approach to them using inductive and deductive techniques.
