The telecommunications industry has become an ecosystem of highly competitive companies with many challenges, where mobile telecommunications operators are presenting several difficulties at the moment of innovating and enter into new business models. These companies have lost strength against new and larger digital companies such as WhatsApp, Skype and Facebook. Through the incorporation of Big Data, it will be possible to increase the capacity to establish new business models that will allow recovering competitiveness against new players within the telecommunications ecosystem. The mobile telecommunications operators that have adopted Big Data as a concept and strategy are increasing the loyalty received from their customers, discovering new business opportunities, making predictions with great accuracy, improving and optimizing their internal processes. |

La industria de telecomunicaciones se ha convertido en un ecosistema altamente competitivo con muchos desafíos, donde los operadores de telecomunicaciones móviles han venido teniendo varias dificultades para innovar e incursionar en nuevos modelos de negocio, han perdido fuerza con nuevas y más grandes empresas digitales como WhatsApp, Skype, Facebook. Incorporar Big Data incrementará la capacidad para establecer nuevos modelos de negocio que permitan recuperar competitividad frente a nuevos jugadores dentro del ecosistema de las telecomunicaciones.
