The main transportation problems include air pollution, noise and traffic, to name a few. In order to address them, it is essential to gather important information on the traffic and road conditions of cities. Therefore, this work presents a network modeling approach that identifies the extreme points of the city, through different methods and algorithms for trimming complex networks, together with the mapping of the traffic flow between them, in order to group them according to their geographical proximity and obtain the time ranges corresponding to the schedules with the highest traffic flow within the city, this being the main input information to carry out and implement sustainable city plans in the city of Quito |
