Significados presentes en adolescentes sobre el inicio sexual en pareja

This research tries to identify, to know and to describe the meanings present in Ecuadorian teenagers from 14 to 15 years old, about the begining of sexual relations with couples, in the city of Quito. This study will be qualitative and descriptive with a constructivist approach. There for, it has been proposed to obtain the data of the participants through the use of individual interviews in depth, with a guide of questions previously established, evaluated and approved by a group of psychologists experts in this subject. It is expected to analyze the data from the constructivist approach based on the personal construct theory, where ascending and descending scaling will be used to identify the cognitive schemes present in the participants. A construct tree will be created that will allow the categorization and classification of the data obtained, which will then facilitate the interpretation of the results. The results of this research will allow the adolescents to express their thoughts, motivations and perceptions regarding the beginning of sexual life as a couple, from their own perspective and reality. In addition it is estimated to know and to describe the present aspects and their relevance in the cognitive construction in the adolescents linked to this decision.
