| Riassunto: | The toiled manufacturing industry generated not domestic wastewater from threads of ceramic paste preparation, molds preparation, stripping, glazing and raw inspection. Wastewater need to be treated before the discharge to sewer system of Quito city, because of environmental responsibility and compliance of environmental legislation. Wastewater receives a physical chemical treatment to separate the raw materials used in ceramic paste preparation and inorganic enamel. Solid particles and suspended solids of water precipitate and are collected in a hydraulic press which dehydrates the percentage of excess water. The present work was oriented to study the possibility of making noise insulation boards by using residual sludge from the treatment of non-domestic wastewater of toiled manufacturing industry. The study included the physical chemical residual sludge characterization to confirm the statement given by the environmental regulator. Analyzes determined that residual sludge is not hazardous because it does not exceed the maximum permissible limits of heavy metals and gamma radiation. |
