الملخص:The present document is a methodological research work, which contains the possible design solutions that search for a specific need. Its primary focus is to give a better work experience in a specific area. This research was developed with a group of people that are related to equestrian show jumping, the jumping crew, who are in charge of manipulating the obstacles. Its been proved that, because of the excessive weight these obstacles have, and there non relatable figure, they put the jumping crew in risky position for possible back injuries. A possible design solution has been developed, base on three different methodological works. The first methodological application was NIOSH formula, which covers and accomplishes an rgonomic design; second we have the DCP Design Centered in Person from IDEO that was the tool used for the figure design, and third we have two main principles which are theorical basics taken from a book written by Pablo Iturralde that talks about the Identity Design covering themes about appropriation of cultural elements, which will allow developing the esthetic part. With these three methodological works combined, a great amount of data and relevant information was gathered. For the ergonomic gathering, it was analyzed the weight of the object carried, the recommended lift weight and the possible risks, that can be tolerated or not. The weigh lifted was not the recommended one. In that case it was also presented that the possible solution could be solved by a re design of the object, weight loss by reducing its weight, or any implementation that would include mechanical elements. The next part includes the development for the design of form, which includes personal and group interview, with all of the possible users. Adding to these the author also develops a situation in which she made an immersion in space, and search for possible inspiration in other scenarios. One of the possible scenery was for example aero waiter in airports. At last but no least important, thanks to re design of identity, it was possible to create a better form of language base on a personal design that achieves her cultural elements used in 4 regions of Ecuador, with two main principles: dualism and reciprocity, found in Pablo Iturraldes book. With these two the final decision were taken, and Equo was design. Equo is a design, a logo and a name for the new obstacles that were developed. Equo is made based in ergonomic characteristics that prevent risks in back injuries in the jumping crew, for easier way of transportation and storage.
