Summary:The main objective of this research was to study, understand and expose the main effects on the mental health of people who have been separated from their work activities in an organization that offers funeral services in the city of Quito, this study was structured under the guidelines of the qualitative research since it mainly interested in knowing the problematic through the direct experience of the chosen individuals and for this it was determined to the semi-structured interview like main tool to obtain the necessary information. It is important to emphasize that one of the discoveries that I carry this work was that in the Ecuadorian context there is a lack of investigation in knowing the mental effects that cause the dismissal and to watch over the same, therefore this became one of the reasons to contribute with this titling work. For the development of this research, it was considered key to use a theoretical framework with previous studies that endorse the content and the objectives of this writing, in addition to main concepts such as dismissal, self-esteem, mental health, among others, with the aim of To give a clearer understanding of the proposed topic. Throughout this investigative work was seen the need to implement an intervention strategy titled as the Humanization of Labor Dismissal where it was based basically on the human aspect of the Outplacement, therefore this strategy seeks not only useful for the Chosen organization but that serves for many more companies of the Ecuadorian context so as to change this lack of concern for the mental health of the people dismissed. Finally it was possible to conclude that it is necessary to make visible the repercussions caused by the loss of work in the people and the treatment that they receive when they are notified by this thanks to Psychology and everything that it represents for the study and understanding of the mind and human conduct, it was possible to develop this work in its entirety.
