Nivel de conocimientos de las enfermeras del área de emergencia sobre resucitación cardiopulmonar de adultos en el hospital "Un canto a la vida" noviembre, 2016

In the Ecuador, the first cause of death is caused by cardiovascular diseases. Recording to the world health organization. Being the most frequent deceases are ischemic heart disease with 10.3% of deaths in 2012 and 2014, a total of 4430 deaths were reported. In our country they are not published statistreal data on respiratory arrests at the intra hospital level. It is often observed that nursing interventions in cardiopulmonary resuscitation are not satisfactory fulfilled. So on investigation was carried to analyze the level of knowledge of the RCP to the professionals of nursing, in the hospital emergency service “Un canto a la Vida” and according to the results obtained a plan was proposed to improve nursing care in the face of the problem. In the guide AHA 2015 use taxonomy of care systems that pivots RCP actors For the study the descriptive method was used, allowing the detailed description of the phenomena, situations and events as they are related to the properties, characteristics profiles of the nurses and nurses who participated in the research. Data were collected through a survey developed according to the objectives and the operationalization of the hypothesis in nurses working in the emergency service. After analyzing the data obtained from the surveys, it was concluded that, in general, Nursing Graduates who work in the emergency service have an adequate and up-to-date knowledge
