Označite | Izvleček: | This study analyzes the validity of psychoanalytic theory in its appliance to clinical practice. The guiding questions were: Is psychoanalysis a valid theory? What supports its validity? These questions allowed the authors to establish a theoretical frame of reference that gave context to the proposal and guided the search for information. The chosen methodology was qualitative with a phenomenological design. The information was gathered through semi-structured interviews with psychoanalysts to investigate about their clinical practice. Later, this information was analyzed and classified into categories. The final report describes the scope of psychoanalytic clinical practice, its methodology, limitations and working population. It was concluded that the training of analysts is constant and it is related to the exchange with others. Also the teaching of psychoanalysis is plausible. The way this teaching has been possible, the places and events that contribute to its happening are also described. |
