Résumé:The present investigative study intrudes in the personnel selection process directing it towards a very significant economic sector such as tourism in Esmeraldas, thus the scope of compliance with objectives would be broad and would have a greater benefit. A contribution to tourism development is achieved based on the premise that improving personnel selection processes can improve the development of hotel companies and therefore offer a quality service, with capable employees and at the same time satisfied. The design of the selection program is based on several points of reference: theoretical definitions derived from important authors in what refers to organizational psychology (Martha Alles, Levy-Leboyer, David McClelland, Spencer Spencer) and more specifically about selection of personnel; profiles of positions by competences developed by the Chamber of Tourism of Pichincha (CAPTUR); bibliographic information on aspects related to the study site; current and actual data collection interviews; as well as the lifting of profiles of key positions within the environment where it is being investigated ...
