Περίληψη:The present degree work is a musical analysis of four characteristic grooves of the New York drummer of jazz fusion: Steve Gadd. In this work, Paul Simon's song "50 ways to leave your lover", the style of samba, mozambique and shuffle was chosen. The research work includes a narrative about the history of each of the grooves. It explores the emergence and development of different musical styles at the historical level, and how they could influence the creation and interpretation of the Gadd style. Likewise, the musical analysis is based on transcriptions of the different chosen grooves, taking into account also its different variants. This analysis focuses on concepts such as articulation, linear phrasing, ostinatos, stickings, subdivisions, balance and orchestration. The knowledge of this material will allow us to interpret this innovative musical language from different musical spaces and it will be an inspiration tool to create your own voice in the instrument
