Elaboración de un manual para diseñadores gráficos e industriales sobre el proceso de etiquetado de productos nacionales para personas no videntes

The present project is the result of an extensive research of concepts, references and regulations to develop a normative manual proposal for Braille labeling in Ecuador. The basis for this proposal is a manual with Braille labeling information because in Ecuador there is still no legislation in place for INEN that refers to this type of labeling. For this reason, the creation of a standardization will generate greater inclusiveness for people with this type of visual disability. The main objective of this project is to create a basis for graphic and industrial designers so they can use this as a guide whenever they want to make Braille labels for bottled products of different brands that are sold in the Ecuadorian market. Likewise, it seeks to encourage the development of new productive projects that help to improve the quality of life of blind people. This document has necessary and useful information to understand what is related to the Braille reading and writing system, as well as the concepts regarding international and national labeling and the laws that exist about them in the Ecuadorian Standardization Service. Also, it summarizes and presents the development of the regulation proposed for Braille labeling, along with the development of the corporate image of the logo that is presented for the cover of the mentioned regulation. The regulations are theoretically specified in this document, which would serve as a guide for designers whenever they want to generate Braille labeling. Finally, the correct use of the logo and the normative are attached for all the people who in the future intend to use the manual.
