Omschrijving
Samenvatting:Between the 70s and 80s, the ecologist and environmentalist movement arose, which seek a balance between human beings and nature, which has led each of the movements to promote different objectives such as defending the environment, nature animals and plants, promote environmental education or raise awareness about human consumption of animals and natural resources, among others. Therefore, in the late 1970s, the animal movement emerged and had two trends to consider; The first is the fight for animal equality, where there is no longer animal discrimination and the second, seeks animal welfare to prevent animals from being subjected to any type of suffering. Thus, the objective of this research is to demonstrate how the animal movement in the Metropolitan District of Quito has influenced the formulation of animal protection policies from 2014 to 2020. The selected methodology is an action research, which is part of the qualitative method and aims to raise awareness of a specific problem and show how the actors involved in transforming a given reality have participated in decision making processes.
