Özet:This thesis project consists in intervening the building Plaza Giralda located in the city of Riobamba, which has 1428 m2. The construction dates back to 1954 where the main office of the Agricultural Center of the city was placed. Nowadays it is a space that houses restaurants and nightlife centers. The reason for the project is to restore certain spaces and materials that have been maintained throughout the time and to change the use of the building taking advantage of its location next to Raúl Dávalos Bull ring, in order to turn it into a Museum – Coffee Shop, focused on the cultural and tourist development of the city. The interior re-adaptation proposal aims to find solutions for the existing space in order to improve its use and functionality, where the typology of the place will be changed to receive both: bullfighting fans, creating a museum on the top floor, and general public by placing a cafeteria on the ground floor including also a souvenir store, so that the commercial area and cultural area are clearly differentiated, but allowing the circulation of visitors in both floors and making a friendly design for people with disabilities, without changing the structure of the property. As a basis for the design, the torero is jacket was used, from which its forms were abstracted, to be applied to floors, circulations and ceiling, as well as the use of materials, lighting, furniture and color according to the proposed concept and typology.
