JANUARY-APRIL 2022”, research carried out with the objective of developing the nursing care process in older adults with pneumonia according to the Virginia Henderson model at the Eduardo Montenegro Basic Hospital as a tool that promotes effective nursing care, having been defined as descriptive. where qualitative information is handled and the use of documentary sources as well as data from the field study, because the information is collected at a specific time. The project is established as cross-sectional, with a population of 11 nursing professionals in charge of caring for older adults with pneumonia at the Hospital in question, having used the SPSS statistical software for information processing, which facilitated obtaining tables. where it is evident that 40% of the professionals have specialized and handled nursing models including Virginia Henderson's for the design of PAE, at the time of knowing the nursing practice, unsatisfied needs are identified, such as: lack of assessment of inappetence; presence of bad sleeping habits; difficulties or limitations in choosing clothes... elements that supported the need for nursing processes, concluding that the people who work in this nursing home support the investigative processes since they consider they are a contribution to the improvement of services, just as there are weaknesses that can be healed with the use of the proposed PAE, thus improving the quality of health.

HOSPITAL BÁSICO EDUARDO MONTENEGRO. ENERO-ABRIL 2022”, investigación ejecutada con el objetivo de elaborar el proceso de atención de enfermería en adultos mayores con neumonía según el modelo de Virginia Henderson en el Hospital Básico Eduardo Montenegro como herramienta que promueva el cuidado enfermero eficaz, habiéndose definido de tipo descriptivo en donde se maneja información de carácter cualitativa y el uso de fuentes documentales al igual que datos del estudio de campo, debido a que la recolección de información se realiza en un momento específico. El proyecto se establece de carácter transversal, con una población de 11 profesionales de enfermería en cargados del cuidado de los adultos mayores con neumonía del Hospital en mención, habiéndose empleado para el procesamiento de información el software estadístico SPSS, mismo que facilito la obtención de tablas en donde se deja en evidencia que un 40% de los profesionales se han especializado y manejado modelos de enfermería incluidos el de Virginia Henderson para el diseño de PAE, al momento de conocer la práctica enfermero se identifican necesidades insatisfechas como son: falta de valoración de la inapetencia; presencia de malos hábitos para dormir; dificultades o limitaciones para elegir la ropa… elementos que sustentaron la necesidad de procesos de enfermería, concluyendo que las personas que laboran dentro de esta casa de salud apoyan los procesos investigativos dado que consideran son un aporte al mejoramiento de los servicios, al igual que existen debilidades que pueden sanearse con el uso de los PAE planteados, mejorando así la calidad de la salud.Universidad Estatal de Bolívar.
