Shrnutí:Reading is a complex skill pursued understanding of written text. The basic components are words recognition and reading comprehension, both needed to achieve competence in this skill. As one of the primary effect of reading comprehension in humans is associated with the development of thought. Read with understanding is to understand that the author refers to each of their claims and what are the links, relationships that link these statements to each other. The importance of reading comprehension is something that the student will discover over time. Reading comprehension is then relating the concepts that present the author. There are several levels of reading comprehension such as: Elementary comprehension or decoding what does this phrase? Just do not know what it says we do not know the meaning of words used by the author. The solution begins with the application of cognitive skills such as contextualization, pro nominalization, and aromatization. High or deep understanding. What does the author mean? One must distinguish between primary and secondary, to understand the examples, inferences, but stay with the universal idea, to capture the most important statements of the text. What else does the text say? Prior knowledge of the reader. In this step the good reader will be able to perform critical reading, the author, the idea that we want to argue, to contrast with other works, etc.. Need general knowledge and critical thinking. This work includes a part of assessment for children from 11 to 15 years which reflects various skills of reading words, sentences and texts, in order to assess word recognition and reading comprehension. Reading fluency, reading times and the difficulties presented by children from the complexities appear to be the best indicators to differentiate the behavior of good and poor readers in the cultural field.
