Résumé:The human papilloma virus is a public health problem worldwide, this type of sexually transmitted disease is affecting adolescents with great intensity and has been increasing in recent years, being one of the most common causes of viral infection in the reproductive tract, having a higher rate of developing cervical cancer, for this reason, the objective of this research was to determine the risk factors for the Human Papillomavirus in women of childbearing age from 18 to 26 years old treated at Subcenter No. 3 of the Riobamba Canton, Chimborazo Province, period February-June 2022, as a methodology, cross-sectional descriptive research was applied, the population was 30 women of childbearing age from 18 to 26 years old who were treated at Subcenter No. 3 of the Riobamba Canton, as a data collection technique and instrument was a survey with a questionnaire of 10 questions, as a result it was obtained that the main associated risk factors for the acquisition of HPV infection were age and the number of sexual partners, as conclusions, it is indicated that the population under study has an average knowledge regarding the risk factors for the disease and with respect to preventive practices, more than half of the population under study knows that the Pap test and the use of methods family planning are actions that help reduce the risk of contracting the virus.
