The present project aims to give an overview of the current state of environmental accounting in small and medium enterprises in the canton Caluma through a field investigation, in relation to what is stipulated in the law of the Ecuadorian State. An inquiry+ is made to determine whether or not there are tax benefits for carrying environmental accounting. It is concluded that in the canton Caluma small and medium enterprises do not perform environmental accounting and in many cases, have never heard of this type of accounting, while in Ecuador there are no tax benefits that encourage SMEs to implement this accounting. |

En nuestro país este tema ha sido poco desarrollado. En el presente proyecto se pretende dar una visión general del estado actual de la contabilidad ambiental en las pequeñas y medianas empresas del cantón Caluma mediante una investigación de campo, con relación a lo que se estipula en la ley del Estado Ecuatoriano. Se realiza una indagación para determinar si existen o no beneficios tributarios por llevar contabilidad ambiental. Se concluye que en el cantón Caluma las pequeñas y medianas empresas no realizan contabilidad ambiental y en muchas ocasiones, nunca han escuchado hablar de este tipo de contabilidad, a la vez que en el Ecuador no existen beneficios tributarios que incentiven a las Pymes a implementar dicha contabilidad.Universidad Estatal de Bolívar.
