总结: | The health of a population is an important aspect for health authorities, being necessary to have knowledge of frequent diseases in the locality, handling statistical data of morbidity and mortality. Based on this, the present investigation was developed with the objective of Establishing the epidemiological profile (20 leading causes of morbidity and mortality) among the 4 health districts of the Bolívar province in the period of prepandemic 2019 and pandemic January-2020 to June 2021, following as research methodology the quantitative approach with descriptive scope and non- experimental design where the variables were not controlled. The information on the causes of morbidity and mortality of the 4 Health Districts of the Bolívar province from 2019 to June 2021, was collected directly without applying population sampling, using direct observation as a technique and a registry file as an instrument. The epidemiological data obtained were organized by years considering the diseases and causes from highest to lowest incidence, they were tabulated using Excel software. The analysis of the information collected yielded as a result: the three diseases with the highest incidence among the 20 causes of general morbidity in the province of Bolívar in 2019 were acute rhinopharyngitis, dentin caries, non-specific acute tonsillitis; In the years 2020 and 2021, the first two of the previous year are repeated, followed by Intestinal Parasitosis, passing COVID-19 from the eleventh in 2020 to fourth in 2021; Regarding mortality in 2019, they were due to ischemic heart, cerebrovascular and respiratory diseases, in 2020 and 2021 ischemic heart diseases and COVID-19 were the main causes. Concluding: The epidemiological profile of the 4 health districts of the Bolívar province is characterized by a high incidence of respiratory, oral, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular and musculoskeletal diseases and the main cause of death 2020 being COVID-19 followed by cardiovascular diseases and Mellitus diabetes. |
