要約:Introduction: The situation of the COVID-19 pandemic has brought innumerable consequences at the health, economic, political and social level, in the case of Ecuador, due to the rapid advance of the disease, the State saw the need to establish a series control measures, mainly focused on maintaining distancing At the level of Higher Education Institutions, the measure of change from the face-to-face to virtual educational regime was applied, negatively affecting all those careers that required continuous internships in educational environments or communities, such as those careers belonging to the area of the health sector. Purpose: To reveal the experiences of students about their learning process in times of the COVID-19 pandemic of the nursing career at the Bolívar State University, through an interview with the purpose of discovering how the process of adaptation to the virtual education modality. Methodology: The qualitative research methodology with a hermeneutical phenomenological approach was applied in order to understand the problem. To do this, we proceeded to know the stories of students of the nursing career of the UEB, through in-depth interviews, which were analyzed using the qualitative analysis software Atlas Ti from 3 core categories, 15 subcategories and analysis networks . Results: In general, three core categories were established; the change to the virtual modality, the teaching and learning process and the education of the nursing profession in virtual environments, which made it possible to understand that there is no availability for all students to access remote training, that there are shortcomings in the teaching and learning process and that it is necessary from the point of view of students to include practices that allow reinforcing the theoretical knowledge acquired. Conclusions: The change had been sudden and that for its application the technological and cognitive availabilities of the students had not been considered, there are limitations that do not allow to acquire knowledge properly, there are no methodologies and methodological strategies that allow future professionals to put into practice the skills and dexterity for which there is a general concern in nursing students.
