الملخص:Comprehensive reading is one of the fundamental skills that teachers must strengthen within the teaching- learning process, therefore, the purpose of this research work is to describe and establish the most appropriate study techniques that can be implemented for the development of reading comprehesion in sixth grade. Students of Basic General Education of the “Luis Aurelio González” school. Thea reason why this research topic was chosen was due to the shortcomings observed in the students through the pre-professional practices carried out, which revealed the low habit of reading, therefore, it implies negativity in their academic performance. Within this research, the type of descripte study with a mixed approach was used. In the same way, for the data collection, an evaluation of the studenst was used and we socialized a guide of study techniques to the teacher, consecutively carrying out their respective analysis and interpretation of data. Finally, it was concluded that the study techniques guide favorably affects the devolopment of reading comprehension.
