Итог:The objective of this study was to identify the prevalence of bovine brucellosis in municipal slaughterhouses in Los Ríos Province. Sampling was conducted at accredited municipal slaughterhouses, especially those in the process of MABIO accreditation in Los Ríos Province (Quevedo, Ventana, and Babahoyo). The population of interest was cattle destined for slaughter for commercialization (n=450), with a total of males (n=144) and females (n=306). The objective was to determine the health status of cattle destined for slaughter and identify potential reactors in order to proceed with the respective notification for confiscation of the reproductive tract and mammary glands. The clinical sign of bovine brucellosis is abortion, hence the selection of this specific population. Blood was drawn from the coccygeal vein, obtaining serum from this method, for diagnostic testing. This was performed in the Plant Pathology Laboratory of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the Technical University of Babahoyo. 0.30 ul of Rose Bengal and 0.30 ul of serum were mixed on a glass plate to homogenize the samples. The samples were then mixed with a circular motion for 4 minutes, then read directly with a light source. The results were 100% seronegative for Brucella abortus.
