With the application of the technical prevention standard (NTP 330), the risk levels of the road environment were obtained, obtained according to the analysis of the parameters established in the road environment evaluation matrix, for which it was divided into three sections according to the topographic characteristics, and each one of them was evaluated, obtaining a very high level of risk in the second section. Also, 60 observation sheets applied to vehicles between public and private individuals were used, with which the most common actions of drivers were evaluated, with which strategies could be established to reduce them. Regarding the research approach, it had a mixed character, since qualitative evaluation parameters were established for all the risk factors under study and certain weightings for the estimation of risk levels. Finally, it concludes with the proposal of the measures and strategies aimed at preventing and mitigating the consequences of traffic accidents, with which it is intended to promote the safety of all users of the road environment, within the Guanujo Echeandía road. Keywords: Prevention, Human factor, Road factor, Vehicular factor, Traffic accident, Critical sections, Accident, Measures and strategiesEl objetivo principal de la investigación fue determinar los factores humanos, viales y vehiculares que más inciden en la ocurrencia de un siniestro vehicular en la vía, para lo cual mediante la revisión de datos históricos de siniestralidad de tránsito, se determinó que el factor humano tiene más incidencia en un accidente de tránsito, en lo que corresponde al período de investigación, así también se han registrado el mayor número de siniestros entre el km 10.5 a 38, debido a la topografía irregular de la vía, que compromete acciones de conducción segura a todos los conductores. Con la aplicación de la norma técnica de prevención (NTP 330) se obtuvo los niveles de riesgo del entorno vial, arrojados según los análisis de los parámetros establecidos en la matriz de evaluación del entorno vial, para lo cual se dividió en tres tramos de acuerdo a las características topográficas, y se evaluaron cada una de ellas, obteniendo el nivel de riesgo muy alto en el segundo tramo. También se utilizó 60 fichas de observación aplicadas a vehículos entre públicos y particulares con la que se evaluaron las acciones más comunes de los conductores, con la que se pudo establecer estrategias para reducir las mismas. En cuanto al enfoque de la investigación, tuvo un carácter mixto, debido a que se establecieron parámetros de evaluación cualitativa para todos los factores de riesgos en estudio y ciertas ponderaciones para la estimación de los niveles de riesgos. Finalmente se concluye con la propuesta de las medidas y estrategias encaminadas a prevenir y mitigar las consecuencias frente a los siniestros de tránsito, con la cual se pretende fomentar la seguridad de todos los usuarios del entorno vial, dentro de la vía Guanujo Echeandía.
