Summary:SUMMARY The purpose of the following case study was to study the life stories of the mothers who were involved in the birth process respectively attended at the Alfredo Noboa Montenegro Hospital in the city of Guaranda, through the application of a qualitative research work, mediated by an approach phenomenological and directed to a descriptive design where the interview was used as a tool for data collection for a focus group, with a type of non- probabilistic sampling and benefit for our research. Likewise, a software for its respective analysis "Atlas Ti" was used, where 22 codes (subcategories) were identified, which were grouped into 8 groups of codes (categories), these being: "Experience", "My feelings", "Respect and good treatment”, “Communication”, “Education”, “Attention”, “What is childbirth” and “Accompaniment”, where it was possible to identify that the users went through different scenarios to specify their delivery process, with poor treatment for certain users, accompanied by little information provided by health personnel, however, all managed to specify that childbirth is a painful process, to bring a new being to life that is accompanied by suffering and anguish, but that the pain is always present. health personnel or a family member, creating an environment of trust and safety.
