סיכום:The present research analyzes the impact of Burnout Syndrome on absenteeism among police officers in District San Miguel No. 3, Bolívar Province, during the year 2024. Burnout, recognized by the World Health Organization as an occupational phenomenon, is characterized by emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduced personal accomplishment. These factors negatively affect job performance and workers' quality of life, particularly in high-pressure sectors like law enforcement. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative tools such as the Maslach Burnout Inventory to measure burnout levels and statistical analyses to establish the relationship between this condition and absenteeism rates. Qualitatively, structured interviews are conducted to identify underlying factors that exacerbate this issue in the police context. The findings reveal a high prevalence of burnout among police officers, linked to factors such as excessive workload, lack of institutional support, and challenging working conditions. These factors significantly contribute to absenteeism, undermining institutional efficiency. The study proposes strategies to prevent and mitigate burnout, including promoting better working conditions and strengthening human resource management in public institutions.
