Crynodeb:This research paper, titled "Consumer Rights to Compensation and Damages for Poor Quality of Goods and Services" aims to conduct an analysis of the obligations of suppliers and the rights of consumers regarding goods and services. These rights are stipulated in the Consumer Protection Law and its corresponding regulations. From a legal standpoint, it is essential to conduct a meticulous analysis of the rights afforded to citizens as consumers of goods and services. Commercial transactions are commonplace every day, every moment in society, and this activity carries a set of responsibilities for the parties involved in commercial activities. However, the legislator has deemed it necessary to establish rights for individuals consuming these goods and services, as they are acquired with the resources obtained daily through their labor, often closely tied to family finances. Enumerating, the goods are diverse: household products, items for establishing a microenterprise, supplies for opening a restaurant or any type of business, mass-consumed food products, among others. Additionally, protection is established for payments made for services. Nowadays, it is crucial, for instance, to have reliable services such as clean water, electricity, internet, mobile telephony, among others. These have become indispensable for the daily life and social coexistence of individuals due to ongoing social development and technological progress. Presently, we observe several products of subpar quality that have practically become disposable, compelling consumers to make excessive purchases due to evolving daily needs. A similar scenario unfolds with services, which, in several instances, can even impact the health and well-being of consumers. It is essential to ascertain the level of awareness among the public regarding their rights as consumers. Additionally, it is crucial to determine the appropriate venues where citizens can file justified claims based on legal grounds. Simultaneously, an investigation should be conducted to assess whether 5 the consumer rights protection procedures carried out by state entities, as mandated by legal provisions, fully comply with effectiveness, promptness, and efficiency in performing their duties. As a basic and descriptive research, documentary and bibliographic reviews were conducted, and recourse was made to case studies to substantiate this work. Additionally, research support techniques such as interviews and surveys were employed, aiding in obtaining objective results from the perspective and practical experience of legal practitioners. The quantitative and qualitative methodologies allowed me to organize the data to fulfill the objectives, ultimately leading to conclusions and recommendations.
