Riassunto:In the canton Guaranda located at 2800 meters above sea level, the evaluation of the in vivo digestibility of three species of hydroponic green forage in fattening guinea pigs. A statistical variance model (ADEVA: DBCA) was applied; mean separation test according to Duncan at 0.05. In the investigation, 4 treatments and 3 repetitions were evaluated, with a total of 48 experimental units. The proposed objectives were: 1) To know the effect of hydroponic green forage of barley, fodder corn and wheat on the productive parameters of fattening guinea pigs. 2) Determine the highest yielding hydroponic green forage species. 3) Carry out the economic analysis of the results by calculating the benefit/cost ratio. The experimental variables and results were: Average initial T4 weight 712.92 g/animal; Final weight average T2 812.75 g/animal; Total food consumption 7429.23 g/lot; Average T2 final weight 1502.83 g/animal; Food conversion T2 with 2.46; Mortality 0.0%/lot; Benefit/cost T2 with $1.10. Finally, the results of this research allow us to deduce that the most important components were genetic, nutritional, management and immunity factors that influenced animal production and welfare.
