Aplicación de un programa educativo para la prevención de infecciones de vías urinarias recidivantes en mujeres gestantes Centro de Salud Morete Puyo, diciembre 2022- abril 2023

ABSTRACT In this research project, the recurrent urinary tract infections in pregnant women will be investigated, summarizing the word recurrent as "the reappearance of a disease some time after suffering", defined as the appearance of more than two episodes in 6 months or more than 3 within a year, although we know it is one of the most frequent pathologies in women, even more so when they are pregnant, it can cause affectations such as threatened abortion, preterm deliveries, abortions, septic shock, even poor development of the fetus. There are no sightings of educational promotion-prevention talks and there are many factors that people are unaware of that can produce it and that can even vary depending on the demographic area where they reside. In this way, this implementation is considered important since it would improve access to health education through educational programs. For the elaboration a quantitative methodology of descriptive type is used. As a result, it is obtained that the population has low resources, inadequate knowledge regarding the subject and that they do not complete the pharmacological therapy prescribed by the doctor. Giving us as a conclusion the lack of knowledge of why or what are the reasons why they frequent this pathology. In particular, pregnant women know different self-care methods, but without knowing the reason, they are unaware of others or have never heard of it, but they feel it is important to address this issue towards pregnant women, especially in a sub-center that is centrally located, such as the health center Morete Puyo.
