| Тойм: | The objective of this study is to analyze the symbolism present in the celebration of Inti Raymi in the canton of Otavalo, Imbabura province, and its relevance within the intercultural context. This festival ancestral, is loaded with deep meanings that represent the human relationship with nature, especially the sun, considered symbol of life. Through this analysis, the aim is to understand how these symbols not only retain their traditional value but have also transformed and adapted to the current context, integrating influences from other cultures and reflecting the intercultural. The study will begin with a historical review of the celebration of Inti Raymi, addressing the main symbols involved, such as the sun, water, and earth, and how each of them is related to the Andean indigenous worldview. Additionally, it will examine how these symbolic elements have been preserved over time and how they are currently perceived and reinterpreted by the community, both in their original context and in their interaction with other cultural traditions. The analysis will be further deepened through interviews with members of the Otavalo city and experts in intercultural topics, who will provide a broad perspective on the current meaning of these symbols. Finally, the results of this research will be presented in an audiovisual product that will allow the viewer to visualize the significance of the symbols of Inti Raymi and their role in the construction of an inclusive and shared cultural identity, highlighting the importance of interculturality in the celebration. |
