When socializing the results obtained in the service, 45% of the professionals who were evaluated and observed, attached to these were assisted by medical staff and nursing students.El presente trabajo investigativo denominado, la seguridad del paciente en la atención de enfermería en el servicio de Gineco obstetricia en el Hospital General Martín Icaza de la ciudad de Babahoyo periodo abril-septiembre 2019, tiene como objetivo determinar el cumplimiento de la seguridad del paciente en la atención de enfermería en el servicio de Gineco obstetricia. Es un estudio de nivel descriptivo, con un diseño cuantitativo, descriptivo, bibliográfico, prospectivo, trasversal y de campo. Se desarrolló el estudio con el personal de enfermería siendo este un total de 30 personas, a las mismas que se aplicó un instrumento de evaluación, dando como resultado en el servicio de Gineco obstetricia con resultados excelente (3,33%), bueno (30%), regular (60%) y malo (6,67%). Además, con la observación en 2 momentos, se pudo constatar la aplicación de las prácticas seguras en la atención al paciente un 52,62% dan cumplimiento y un 47,38% no las cumplen. Al realizar la socialización de los resultados obtenidos en el servicio se contó con la presencia del 45% de los profesionales que fueron evaluados y observados, anexados a estos asistieron personal médico del servicio y estudiantes de enfermería.Universidad Estatal de Bolívar.
