Yhteenveto:Biosafety measures are international standards that seek through their application to address imminent biological hazards within the hospital setting. Proper management of biohazards involves the implementation of control measures, such as the use of personal protective equipment, proper hygiene practices, vaccination, and biosafety protocols in all healthcare settings. The objective of the study is "To evaluate the biosafety measures associated with the prevention of biological risks in health personnel at the Alfredo Noboa Montenegro Hospital, period January - April 2023". The study methodology used was quantitative and descriptive-correlational. A sample of 162 of the total population of 278 health professionals working at the HANM was obtained, and a survey and observation guide were used as instruments. The results showed that 94% of health professionals almost always act according to the principles of biosafety, and that more xvi than 50% comply with the complete vaccination schedule, this being a fundamental requirement, emphasizing the importance of continuous training of health personnel for correct work performance. Finally, we conclude by emphasizing that the actions of health professionals should be based on the principles of biosafety, as well as the importance of the vaccination schedule as a biological barrier against the biological risks present in the hospital environment, prevention and awareness are essential to minimize exposure to these risks and prevent diseases.
