| Sumario: | The investigative work, titled "Development of skills with criterion of performance in the learning in the subjet of Language and Literature of the children and children of the Quarter and Fifth Year of General Education Basicof the School:Elina Cardona de Pazos, of the enclosure El Zumbe, of the Chillanes Corner, Province Bolivar, during scholastic year 2011-2012, takes place by the necessity to know the influence the development of the skills with performance criterion in the learning of the subjet of Language and Literature, area which in the national evaluations they report very low levels, that are justified by the necessity of the school to improve the learnings of their students, to give to a theoretical frame and scientific foundation to the development of the skills with performance criterion, that as it leaves from the proposal of curricular innovation the Ministry of Education of Ecuador started up in the 2010, the importance of the development of the skills stands out as a form to obtain the integral formation. It has like general mission developing the skills with criterion of performance for the learning of Language and Literature, and the specific objectives constitute identifying the methodologic process that apply the educational ones, the socialization and the proposal of strategies for the development of the skills with performance criterion. The study hypothesis raises that the development of the skills with performance criterion positively influences in the learning of Language and Literature. The subject is based with the scientific theory, the concepts and basic lineaments as much of the skills with criterion of performance like of the learning of Language and Literature, completing with the legal, conceptual and referential fundamentation. The study of descriptive type was made a population of 35 people distributed in 20 children and children of quarter and fifth year of basic, 14 parents of family and an educational director, of the school Elina Cardona of the enclosure El Zumbe, the techniques of harvesting of the information constituted:the observation by means of a card to the children and children to identify the manifestation of the skills, survey by means of a questionnaire to the family parents, and an interview to the director, as far as the methods was used deductive, inductive, analytical, synthetic and historical the logical one. Of the obtained data and processing by means of chi square one verifies that the development of skills with performance criterion positively influences in the learnings of language and Literature.Concluding that the skills with performance criterion are dinamizadores elements of currículo that entails the intention that the educational ones indeed carry out the development of the skills in the students with base to the learning contents identifying a depth level, on the basis of activities and exercitation with the contents. In order to undertake the development of skills with performance criterion and to improve the learning of the students in area of language and Literature a proposal of educative intervention in the classroom with the application of several strategies like optimizing the processes of learning of the reading, writing sets out, speaking and to listen, to generate effective experiences of learning on the basis of the essential indicators of evaluation that the skills with performance criterion bring in the proposal of update and fortification of the General Education Basic, the organization of the work in the classroom, group, even, individual, the association of students advanced with stragglers.
