Gaia:The Research project: Ancestral knowledge for tourism purposes on the Sara Kapak Ñan route, Guaranda canton, Bolívar province, was carried out with the objective of conducting an in-depth study for the development of a tourist guide, taking into account the nearest town, delving into the central Quindihua community and detailing in depth all its aspects and cultural knowledge. As a result of the investigation, the necessary information was obtained thanks to the people belonging to the Quindihua community and the respective field study, in order to capture the final report of the project, was investigated: The situational diagnosis in the physical-spatial fields; economic-productive; social-cultural as: location, limits, economic activity, total population, government institutions present, aspects such as their cultural identity, rituals, legends, cultural heritage, etc. To obtain the first objective, situational diagnosis of the route, surveys were carried out on community leaders, adults and young people, gathering information on their way of life, their clothing, the architecture of their homes, which allowed us to prepare a respective file of cultural inventory. For the second objective the cultural inventory sheet of the National Institute of Cultural Heritage (INPC) was applied, which allowed us to know in depth the cultural heritage in its: clothing, ways of life, language, gastronomy, ancestral knowledge, music, dance, festivities, beliefs and rituals. An ancestral knowledge guide of the route was developed, a route was made along the route, selection of images and information. KEYWORDS Research Project, Sara Kapak Ñan, Tourist Guide.
