সংক্ষিপ্ত:Wheat (Triticum vulgare L) is one of the most important cereals in the world. The main producers worldwide are China with 130 million tons, India with 90 million tons, the USA and Russia with 60 million tons. The research work was carried out in five agroecological zones of the province of Bolivar. The objectives were: i). To identify the certified seed production system that has the best characteristics desirable by the producer in the agroecological zones investigated. ii). To compare the yields of the INIAP-Imbabura variety in each of the locations investigated. iii). To determine the Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR) of the production of certified wheat seed. The methodology applied was a Randomized Complete Block design with 5 treatments with four replications, each location was considered as treatment T1: Illapa; T2: Verdepamba; T3: Susanga; T4: Panchigua and T5: San Sebastian. The production system of certified wheat seed in five agroecological zones of the Bolivar province was characterized. Analysis of variance, Tukey's test at 5%, correlation analysis, linear regression, and benefit-cost relationship were carried out. According to the results, the variability of the treatments was evidenced, which confirms the genotype-environment interaction. The wheat yield per location was recorded in Panchigua with 3840.96 kg/ha; Susanga with 3814.94 kg/ha; Verdepamba with 3711.19 kg/ha; San Sebastian with 3655.78 kg/ha and Illapa with 3241.78 kg/ha. The best benefit/cost and income/cost ratios were found in Panchigua with 1.40 BR/C and 0.40 I/C and Susanga with 1.39 BR/C and 0.39 I/C.
