Sumari:In the present investigative work the Modeling of the behavior of the structure of the building of the Faculty of Health Sciences and of the Human Being, of the State University of Bolivar before seismic threat was carried out; located at Av. Alpachaca and Av. Ernesto Che Guevara S / N and Av. Gabriel Secaira, from the city of Guaranda, Bolívar province. In order to carry out this work, the CYPECAD software has been used. It is a three-dimensional program that allows calculating and designing reinforced concrete structures for buildings subject to horizontal and vertical actions in the event of a seismic hazard, in order to later diagnose the structure and know the problems and pathologies that the structure has. Once the causes have been identified, a reinforcement proposal is proposed with elements that help the rigidity of the structure, thus it would have the way to choose the best alternative in all areas. Which is subjected to the resistant earthquake reinforcement according to the requirements of the Ecuadorian Construction Standard NEC-SD-DS, the design of the reinforcement elements of the structure is made and also to guarantee the good functioning and good performance before a seismic event and to be able to safeguard the lives of people, it is just determined that the structural elements were found to have problems of serviceability. El objetivo del presente trabajo investigativo es realizar un modelamiento de estructura de hormigón armado ante la amenaza sísmica del Edificio Ciencias de la Salud y del Ser Humano por programa de cálculo estructural en el cual se introducirá datos de la estructura en el software CYPECAD con las normas ecuatorianas de la construcción NEC-SE-DS (peligro sísmico).
