| Sumari: | This thesis focuses on the research and evaluation of illustrated stories as a teaching resource in the emotional development within the classroom in boys and girls of the initial level II from 4 to 5 years of age in the Millennium Educational Unit “Ángel Polibio Chaves” from the canton of San Miguel de Bolívar, province of Bolívar in the period 2023-2024. This study, carried out using a longitudinal approach, aimed to analyze how the implementation of illustrated stories can positively impact the emotional development of students at this crucial stage of their education. The results reveal a significant increase in skill, recognition of emotions such as (sad, happy, angry, distressed, suspense) and skills related to what they can express their emotions with other children, suggesting, “illustrated stories” they can play a crucial role in the comprehensive training of boys and girls in Initial Education. This study provides a valuable contribution to the field of early education and child development, highlighting the importance of illustrated stories as teaching material in the emotional process of preschool children. The results obtained can serve as a basis for future research and education that promote learning about emotional development and the fundamental nature of early education |
