| Gaia: | The objective of this study is to determine memory techniques to strengthen reading and writing in the area of language and literature in children in the fifth year of General Basic Education at the Luis Aurelio González School in the city of Guaranda, province of Bolívar, school year 2022-2023. It is based on a mixed research approach, with a descriptive scope. For the collection of information, an interview to teachers and a survey to students were applied, for which the general size of the sample was established in a total of 30 students, who will be selected non- randomly in an intentional way. The results will be analyzed using Microsoft Excel 2019 to record the numerical data obtained from the instruments applied. As a result of this work, memory techniques were identified to strengthen literacy in fifth grade students within the educational establishment. Through the proposal, it was observed that the students felt able to participate with the dynamics, techniques, cards, and teaching methods that made learning a process of efficiency and productivity. Finally, it is advisable that teachers put into practice the different memory techniques to generate an effective learning environment with the different actors of education, where they manage the new memory techniques to strengthen reading and writing, thus achieving the acquisition of critical and analytical thinking, understanding the different theories that allow them to acquire a better teaching |
