Opis
Streszczenie:Determination of estrogen levels in canine females undergoing ovariohysterectomy (OVH), whose objectives were: to evaluate estrogen levels in canines undergoing ovariohysterectomy (OVH), to diagnose reproductive pathologies in canine female patients under study and to parameterize estrogen levels In the pre-operative and post-operative phase, we worked with 20 female canine patients of different race and with an age greater than 8 months of age, the investigative and practical method was used, taking into account that the study factors were the measurement of levels of estrogens, blood sample was taken in the pre and postoperative phase for subsequent laboratory analysis to determine the estrogen values, a vaginal cytology was performed and the phase of the patient's estrous cycle was known and then the surgical intervention of ovariohysterectomy (OVH), applying the ventral line technique with an incision size of 3 - 4 cm, a surgery duration of 30 minutes and a hospital stay of 72 hours. The estrogen values in the pre-operative and post-operative phases present differences due to the fact that the patients are in different sexual phases, considering the characteristics of each race. There is an average of "46.87 pg / ml" in the pre-operative phase and an average value of "35.45 pg / ml" in the post-operative phase, with a difference between values of 11.07 pg / ml. It should be noted that the blood samples for subsequent analysis
