Shrnutí:The following project entitled: READING AND WRITING AS PEDAGOGICAL REINFORCEMENT IN CHILDREN OF THE SECOND YEAR OF BASIC GENERAL EDUCATION OF THE ABDÓN CALDERÓN EDUCATIONAL UNIT OF SAN SIMÓN PARISH, GUARANDA CITY, BOLÍVAR PROVINCE, IN THE ACADEMIC PERIOD 2022 - 2023. The main objective was to propose didactic strategies for reading and writing as pedagogical reinforcement for children of the second AEGB. Because, pedagogical reinforcement is an integral, individual and collective educational measure whose purpose is to help students achieve the objectives set in the usual school challenges and tasks. The methodological design had a qualitative and quantitative approach, because it allowed the deepening, review and analysis of the literature on the subject of study, as well as the systematization of the information in tables and statistical graphs. The type of study was descriptive, correlational, exploratory and documentary. The data collection techniques were an interview with the second AEGB teacher, a survey of parents and an observation form applied to the second AEGB children. The population consisted of 1 teacher, 16 children and 16 parents of the second AEGB students, giving a total of 33 participants. As a result, it was obtained that the didactic strategies of reading and writing as pedagogical reinforcement in children of the second AEGB of the Abdón Calderón Educational Unit strengthened the competences of the children of the second AEGB of the Abdón Calderón Educational Unit
