Summary:At the present time the violence has become one of the main problems that families are exposed, creating uncertainty, destruction of the home and even death of its members, to be worrying the situation, finding the most affected members is smaller children. Domestic violence, family violence or domestic violence encompasses all violent acts, from the use of physical force to bullying, harassment or intimidation, which occur within a home and perpetrating at least one family member against another or others. The most common causes for arising are infidelity, financial crisis, very young couples, dysfunctional families among others. Its consequences are reflected in behaviors ranging from extreme shyness to aggression. This work studied the families of the school "La Salle", parish Juan de Velasco, canton Riobamba, Chimborazo province; the study group was the parents and / or representative of children in 3rd Year General Basic Education, with a view to determining whether the violence affects academic performance. Our work aims to demonstrate the relevance of the reality of the children of the school "La Salle" through field research with real data according to the experiences of students, plus allow us to study and implement the Code children to learn, as the law protects the child, with this premise means the responsibility of the teacher not only as a transmission of knowledge but also social responsibility. The research was based on the scientific method, research is of character, applied, descriptive and field, allowing us to learn more about our students not only as teachers concerned about teaching but also help them improve their performance, we xiii used surveys to parents, mothers and / or representatives, to determine if there is a problem in homes and their influence on children, to be conducted interviews with executives and members of DOBE school "La Salle" in order to establish which has the support mechanisms institution for children who are experiencing this issue, we performed direct observation of children and those interviewed children who had different behaviors of others. The results of the survey shows that in homes of families of children Basic 3rd of "La Salle" if there is violence and its direct consequences on their children affected. In the classroom there are problems such as inattention, aggressiveness, passivity, shyness, low participation, isolation, corroborated by the surveys indicates that children exhibiting these behaviors are directly or indirectly affected by violence in their homes. There is also neglect of their parents in the work they take home as these or not performed or are made by parents, all these cases corroborated by the interview that there is abuse by family members or it implies abuse between parents. Was conducted in the academic year 2010 - 2011 campaign "ONE HAPPY FAMILY, NO VIOLENCE OR MALTREATMENT" where the school through its teachers and administrators, held 4 meetings, they were divided into: 2 School meetings parents, taught by experts and workshops with the other 2 meetings took the form of conference and were given by specialists of the Code of childhood and adolescence. The meetings had the character required to intrude on the parents of that process. There was a lot of cooperation from parents and / or representatives, who were motivated and eager to learn to improve relations within the family. The aim of the proposal was to improve the conditions of the family as a child well treated is a happy, but above all a fully formed person.
