要約:The research was carried out at the San Gabriel Ranch, in the Morona Canton, in the Morona Santiago province, comparing the effect of two protocols on superovulation in beef-type cows, a total of eight experimental units were used (eight female bovines of Charolais) to which they were superovulated three times each, these becoming the repetitions (three); females were standardized in body condition, health status and had to be multiparous; Two protocols were carried out, the first is based on Cebiotropin B, which was applied during the established protocol; Once a day for four consecutive days; and the second protocol was Folltropin V, which was applied every 12 hours for four days: Each repetition was carried out with intervals of 15 days, later, two weeks rest was provided to the females, and a new cycle began again. It was determined that Folltropin produced the highest number of total embryos, with 144 embryos in this trial, unlike Cebiotropin, which generated 78 embryos, which represents 54% of what Folltropin produced. When analyzing the quality of the embryos in percentage terms, Cebiotropin generated more embryos in grade one quality (95%), unlike Folltropin, which lacked 1.25% to match this value. The effectiveness allows to appreciate that Cebiotropin obtained an average of 59 % in the three collections carried out in the four donor cows; Being surpassed by Folltropin that reached 81% in these same conditions and for this variable. It is concluded that; folltropin presented greater effectiveness in terms of the production of structures, and this difference is also preserved in the number of embryos; The greatest cost benefit was obtained when using Folltropin within the superovulation protocols since the one obtained was almost double compared to its competition, this being due in the first instance to the number of embryos produced.
