Add Tag | Summary: | In this research project entitled: "Evaluation of the environmental impact of extractive mining in the sector of the side step, Izamba parish, canton Ambato, province of Tungurahua", the objectives are to make a situational diagnosis of quarrying in extractive mining in the sector. Evaluate the level of environmental impact caused by extractive mining in the side pass sector. And to propose reduction measures for the environmental impacts of extractive mining in the sector. A methodology of scientific modality was executed, fundamentally applicative, of exploratory, descriptive and analytical type. A direct observation and interview guide was elaborated, together with a Lazaro Lagos matrix for the qualitative and quantitative identification of the environmental impact of the quarry. The results obtained for the first objective were a detailed analysis of the diagnosis of the ALVORTIZ MINE with respect to water, soil, air, fauna, flora and statistical data on the interviews conducted; for the second objective, a detailed direct observation was achieved and the Lazaro Lagos matrix with its respective numerical data was made for a concrete analysis of the environmental impact produced; finally, for the third objective, the reduction measures for the environmental impacts produced in this research by the quarry were detailed. Likewise, the hypothesis was executed with the chi-square test to help us obtain which of the two hypotheses is accepted in this case H1 was approved: "The analysis of the environmental impact would improve the extractive mining activities in the Paso Lateral sector".
