Ամփոփում:The research titled "Impact of Plyometric Training on Physical Fitness in Athletes of the Sports Federation of Cotopaxi in relation to students of Ramón Barba Naranjo School in the Province of Cotopaxi during the Academic Year 2022 – 2023" aims to assess the effects of an 8-week plyometric training program on enhancing physical fitness in two distinct groups: federated athletes and students from a school in the Cotopaxi province. The study endeavors to address the growing need for innovative and effective methods to optimize athletic performance and improve physical fitness in both athletes and young students. Plyometrics, a technique grounded in explosive exercises such as jumps and throws, forms the central focus of this study. The Cotopaxi province, known for its rich sports tradition, serves as the backdrop for investigating the effects of this type of training. The research adopts a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative and quantitative elements. Data collection is employed to test hypotheses, relying on numerical measurement and statistical analysis. The research is of a quasi-experimental, descriptive nature. The evaluation of outcomes utilizes the Bosco Countermovement Jump Test, while the Student's t-test is employed to verify hypotheses. Upon conclusion of the research, it is determined that plyometric training does NOT significantly impact the physical fitness of students. Conversely, it is evidenced that plyometric training DOES significantly impact the physical fitness of athletes.
