Description
Summary:This research report was developed with the purpose of implementing both social networks and the Internet in the educational environment to revolutionize conventional teaching-learning methods and strengthen group interaction of students in the eighth year of General Basic Education, the objective of this study is to demonstrate that social networks and the Internet can be used as pedagogical strategies to optimize academic performance and encourage the development of new teaching resources that allow a more fluid and active interaction between teacher and student. The study that was carried out had a quantitative approach that helped to identify clear patterns on the use of social networks and the Internet, and thanks to the structured surveys that were applied to teachers and students, data was collected that helped to determine the magnitude of the impact caused by the implementation of technology in the educational and social environment. This approach not only enriches the educational process, but also prepares children and young people to face the challenges of a constantly evolving digital world. It was found that, in order to achieve a significant impact, it is essential to have teachers who are trained in the use of digital technologies and in the development of innovative pedagogical strategies, emphasizing the need to ensure equitable access to devices and Internet connection, especially in rural communities where the digital divide continues to be a challenge. It concludes by stating that the use of social networks in education has the potential to transform the learning experience, making it more inclusive and effective, this will be achieved through the implementation of well- designed strategies that take into account the particularities of the educational and social context of the students.
