Résumé:The title of the research to be developed is "Application of the nursing care process according to the humanistic model of Paterson and Zderad for palliative care provided to oncological patients in the Dialysis area at the Abel Gilbert Pontón Hospital in Guayaquil January-May 2021". Objective: To apply a process of nursing care according to the humanistic model of Paterson and Zderad for palliative care provided to oncological patients in the dialysis area at the Abel Gilbert Pontón Hospital in Guayaquil. January 2021-May 2021. For this, a quantitative, descriptive, experimental field and cross-sectional approach was defined as a research methodology, applying an assessment survey according to Virginia Henderson to 24 cancer patients receiving dialysis treatments. Results: The main oxygenation needs related to blood pressure, obesity and overweight, constipation, nausea, movement limitations, anxiety and depression were identified. From these observations, two models of the nursing care process were made, one of the normal type and the other following the humanistic model of care. Concluding that the PAES implemented and evaluated through the SOAP methodology for palliative care provided to oncological patients in the dialysis area at the Abel Gilbert Pontón Hospital in Guayaquil, presented greater effectiveness in the humanistic model of care, this assertion was statistically verified by means of of the comparison of means for related samples, student's t test, determining that there is a significant difference in the assessment measures with and without application of the model, so the research hypothesis is accepted where the differences are established.
