要約:Introduction Menopause despite being a normal stage in the life of every adult woman brings with it a series of symptoms and signs that affect her quality of life. Purpose To relate the experiences of women about the menopause process that are treated at the San Miguel Health Center. 2021. Methodology The study was carried out based on a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach, collecting the information through an in-depth interview that allowed us to recognize the psychological and physical impact, as well as the support provided by the nursing professionals, during the menopause of a population of 10 women in climacteric or menopause who attended the San Miguel Health Center, whose responses were recorded and analyzed with the qualitative analysis software Atlas ti version 9. Results From the results, it was possible to generate three categories of analysis; the perception of menopause, the impact of menopause and symptoms and signs, of which 10 subcategories were obtained with which the hermeneutical unit was generated with which it was possible to understand the phenomenological information raised at the San Miguel Health Center. Conclusion Most of the women are unaware the concept of climacteric and even less how it is related to menopause, despite having suffered from the physiological, psychological and emotional symptoms characteristic of this stage. Regarding self-care, it was observed that the interviewees were treated with traditional medicines in combination with medicines indicated by health professionals. It was identified that there is a negative perception on the part of health care, so it is recommended to carry out an educational approach that allows women to prepare to face the menopausal process.
