| Summary: | This Intervention Work allowed me to know the reality of the sector, its way of living in community, its organization and the way to participate in the education of children in the sector, as well as knowing important aspects about the form and methodology used in the development of teaching learning of mathematics, in order to raise awareness of the need for students to improve mental calculation for the development of arithmetic operations from the point of view of logical reasoning and not from the memorization of the operations of calculation as it has been working for a long time ago. The teacher's fundamental task is to motivate the student to use support and development teaching material to be practical in solving problems using mental calculation as the basis for learning the four fundamental operations of arithmetic in students in the sixth grade of the unit. educational reason for intervention. The implementation of the intervention proposal was not the application of the plans and programs of the Ministry of Education and the use of active techniques that help to develop the cognitive area of the students, for which it was possible to use support teaching materials that help develop intellectual skills, discarding almost all of the memorization of arithmetic tables. The implementation and use of algorithms or arithmetic games not only awaken the need to solve a problem situation, but also contributed to the development of cognitive mental structures in the search for new solutions to the problems that arise not only for mathematical calculation, but also for the development of understanding, analysis and the search for new solutions. I hope with this work to have contributed positively to the improvement in terms of teaching mathematics learning in sixth grade students of basic general education in the educational unit that is the subject of intervention.
